Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using Pigiste.info, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the platform.

1. Service Description

Pigiste.info is an IT mandate board connecting IT freelancers and consultants based in Québec with clients located in Canada and the United States. The platform allows clients to post IT mandates and freelancers to browse them.

Pigiste.info is a listing service. We are not a party to contracts entered into between freelancers and clients, and we do not act as a staffing agency.

2. Eligibility

To use Pigiste.info, you must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• for freelancers: be an IT professional (developer, architect, designer, project manager, etc.);
• for clients: represent a business or be self-employed, and have IT mandate needs (not permanent positions);
• provide accurate information in your role request; your account is activated manually after operator review.

Platform access is limited to visitors located in Canada and the United States.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all actions taken under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@pigiste.info.

The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account for violation of these terms, without notice or refund.

4. Pricing and Payment

Publishing a mandate is subject to a one-time fee of 100 $ CAD per posting. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

Fees are non-refundable once the mandate is published, except at the operator's discretion. For cancellation requests before publication, contact support@pigiste.info within 24 hours of payment.

5. Mandate Posting Rules

Each posted mandate must:

• relate to an IT mandate (no permanent positions, no general roles);
• accurately describe the work to be performed, without misleading information;
• be posted by the actual client or their authorized representative;
• comply with all applicable laws.

A mandate is visible for 30 days from its publication date. Upon expiry, it is automatically removed from the public listing. The operator reserves the right to archive or remove any mandate that violates these rules, without refund.

6. User Obligations

You agree not to:

• post false mandates or false profiles;
• harass, threaten, or otherwise mistreat other users;
• attempt to access other users' systems or data;
• use the platform for unsolicited solicitation (spam);
• circumvent payment or verification mechanisms;
• violate any applicable law.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (mandate descriptions, profiles, messages). By posting content on Pigiste.info, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content in the course of operating the platform.

You warrant that your content does not infringe third-party rights and does not contain confidential information belonging to a third party.

8. Intellectual Property

The code, design, brand, and editorial content of Pigiste.info belong to the operator. No provision of these terms grants you any rights in those elements beyond normal use of the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

Pigiste.info is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator excludes all implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform.

The operator is not responsible for contracts entered into between freelancers and clients, disputes between parties, or the accuracy of information provided by users.

In no event shall the operator's total liability exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding six months.

10. Governing Law and Language

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Québec.

In the event of a discrepancy between the French and English versions of these terms, the French version prevails in accordance with the Charter of the French Language.

11. Changes

The operator may modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
